Mahfuzul as a Digital Marketer
Past to Present
I wasn’t a digital marketer at the beginning of my career.
I started as a web developer and spent 3 years of my early career coding in PHP. Those were exciting days, although being an impatient one, I started taking an interest in open-source CMS programs like Joomla, WordPress, Magento, OpenCart, etc. It was fascinating how fast I was able to develop 100% functional and practical websites in a fraction of the time.
And then the biggest “BUT” of my life arrived!
After developing more than 50 websites for different clients from different corners of the world, I noticed something common: the websites rarely had any traffic (except a few with very strong brand recognition in the market), and neither the business owners realized this issue nor had any idea how to solve it.
So, there were websites, BUT no visitors.
And that big BUT drove me to find the missing piece of my career puzzle: the mighty Digital Marketing
In the quest to solve the traffic generation challenge, I explored different areas of the digital marketing umbrella, starting from paid advertising to SEO, content marketing, and conversion rate optimization.
Paid advertising itself requires expertise in different platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc. These platforms can be grouped under two major categories: Search Ads and Social Media Ads.
Organic traffic generation, like SEO, follows a similar pattern.
So, the tree of digital marketing has many branches and sub-branches, and I aimed to acquire skills to cover the major ones, shaping myself into a full-stack digital marketer.
